PE

PE develops students’ competence and confidence to take part in a range of physical activities that become a central part of their lives both in and out of school. Our PE curriculum enables all students to enjoy and succeed in many kinds of physical activity. Students develop a wide range of skills and abilities to use tactics, strategies and compositional ideas to perform successfully; plus, the confidence to take part in different physical activities and learn about the value of healthy, active lifestyles. PE helps students to develop personally and socially. They work as individuals, in groups and teams developing concepts of fair play and of personal/social responsibility.

Throughout their time at Stony Dean students are offered a wide range of individual and team activities making use of our facilities. During these activities they are given the opportunity to plan, perform, evaluate, make decisions and lead others.

In Year 11 all pupils are entered for Entry Level with most pupils achieving Level 3.

Stony Dean participate in local fixtures against other SEN school in the local area and also take part in various tournaments and sporting festivals.
